I have an iMac (21.5 inches, mid 2014) with MacOS Mojave.
It's working now.
- Download and install the following package:
- Ensure the printer is powered on and the USB is directly connected to your Mac.
- Click the Apple icon, select System Preferences and then go to Printers & Scanners.
- click the plus sign and select the listed 1018 printer.
- Click the Use drop-down menu and then click on Select Printer Software.
- Type 1022 in the search box and select the HP Laserjet 1022 driver.
- Click OK and confirm any dialog, then try printing using the created print queue.
Hello, I have recently updated my macbook air to Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6 and I tried to add my HP laserjet 2018 printer (I have also deleted all previously added printers to my Macbook), but my printer is not listed. I have asked for hp support via virtual chat helper, and the solutions were not help. I am hugely indebted to donthomaso's post on the HP Support Forum thread download driver on mac 10.7.4 for HP Laserjet 1000, which linked to this set of instructions by The Daily Chu / chuck: HP Laserjet 1000/1005/1018/1020 on OS X Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks.
